The detection of mycotoxins consists of three steps: sampling, sample preparation and detection. Sampling and testing are the most likely to cause subjective error.
1) Sampling process:
Many people think that the greatest impact on the results is the detection steps, our company through the collation of the literature and sample testing to determine, of which the greatest impact on the final result value is sampling, the probability of error is as follows:
This shows that the sampling error rate is 88%;
Analysis method error rate of 2%
According to the relevant information of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the detection of mycotoxins is ppb level, and the error of the results obtained without sufficient sampling amount will be very large. The Department of Agriculture has done relevant experiments, adding 20ppb aflatoxin B1 to a truck of corn to imitate different sampling amounts. The results obtained are shown in the following table:
Sample size (kg) |
Detection range (ppb) |
0.45 |
0~46.9 |
1.00 |
3.3~38.8 |
2.25 |
8.1~31.9 |
4.50 |
11.6~28.4 |
It can be seen that the error range caused by different sampling amounts will be very large, and when a sufficient sampling amount is reached, the detection value will be close to the true value.
2) Test link:
The detection of mycotoxins mainly relies on physical and chemical tests and rapid tests, which require professional instruments and equipment. According to sensory evaluation, many sampling personnel think that there are more moldy grains and moldy grains, and the content value of mycotoxins must be very high, thus questioning the relevant test results. Our company compares the relevant data and laboratory liquid phase test results show that the content of mold grains and moldy grains has no correlation with the content of mycotoxins. As shown in the figure:
Summary:
The detection process of mycotoxins can effectively reduce the error and ensure the detection results.
